About The Kabuto
1. Maedate 前立 (Front Horns)
We spent a year perfecting the shape of the kabuto, and then added the magnets. You can adjust the shape of your horns and alter the way they sit on the front of your hat.
2. Shikoro 錣
The back armor pieces come with a magnetic strip that you add to the inner lining of your own hat to attach on.
3. Fukigaeshi 吹返 (Wing Pieces)
The wing shapes attach directly to the Shikiro (back armor pieces) and can also be molded and shaped as you wish to style your own hat.
4. Inner Magnetic Strips
The Kabuto Attachments will include all magnetic pieces required to add the attachments directly to your own hat. The additional magnetic pieces are added to the inside of your hat and clip together with the exterior attachments.

The original kabuto we made was the “Shogun Ohtani” - a Japanese denim trucker hat with the armor attachments sewn directly into the hat. As people asked for different sizes, fits, and colors, we made the system magnetic. Now the kabuto is modular, works with any hat, and lets you mix colors, customize the look, and works for all hat/head sizes.
